With reference to my Despatch

No. 231 of the 14th. of September, 1908, I have the honour

to transmit the enclosed copy of a letter from the Secreta-

ry of the Far Eastern Association of Tropical Medicine

dated the 23rd. ultimo, and to inform Your Lordship that

I was advised by my Executive Council on the 5th. instant

that, subject to Your Lordship's approval, an invitation

should be tendered by this Colony to the Far Eastern

Association of Tropical Medicine to hold their Congress in

1912 at Hongkong.
